I had to start this Hotel duPont wedding video with Kristina’s sister Sarah, because her talking about how her sister’s love story was straight out of a Hallmark movie is so true.

Kristina & Austin first met in kindergarten in Delaware, and they both acknowledged that throughout their childhoods, they had crushes on each other. But it took until after college when Kristina was visiting mutual friends in New York that they reconnected and they knew “that this was our time.”

Getting to hear their stories during our interviews before their first look was so incredibly fun. Probably my favorite was Austin remembering the specific teacher who separated them in a religion class for laughing and joking. The fact that they weaved in and out of each other’s life in a way that led to their wedding was just so fun.

The personal touch kept going, as Austin’s uncle presided over their beautiful Catholic mass at St. Joseph’s on the Brandywine.

And one unique thing that Kristina & Austin did was have their band play them and their guests into their Hotel duPont reception instead of a more traditional reception entrance. I thought it was so cool and I definitely was humming “When the Saints Go Marching In” around my house while editing this Hotel duPont wedding video!
