What can I say about Katie & Dave's wedding? Every detail was absolutely amazing, the atmosphere was so incredibly relaxed and inviting, and you couldn't ask for a nicer day by the shore in Cape May.
For me, I knew I was in for a special day right away, as I did short interviews with both Katie & Dave. I could see on both of their faces just how much they meant to each other. I could hear it as they both told their versions of their story - how they met at Grotto's at the University of Delaware, how they got engaged during a pandemic, and how they were just both so grateful for how the other made their life better.
One thing that jumped out at me was Dave talking about how Katie went to study abroad right around when they met. That it was tough to see where this new relationship would go. But it was apparent to both of them this was something worth fighting for (as well as their friends - best man Eric touched on their marathon Zoom calls well before that was a common thing).
I was so happy to be a part of this - I've known Dave & his family since we were kids (and couldn't help but smile as our alma matter was referenced during the ceremony). Katie and David's story is one of a kind, and it's been a privilege to get to tell it.
