Kaila & Ryan had their wedding at the Barn at Silverstone in Lancaster, PA.

How did Kaila go from saying no to Ryan when he first asked her out to “he’s easy to love”?

Persistence.

“I think it took a few months and a lot of effort on Ryan’s part before she finally agreed to go on that date,” matron of honor Mallory said. “The next time I saw Kaila, I could see how smitten she was, just by the huge smile on her face.”

This came up so many times on their wedding day at the Barn at Silverstone in Lancaster. Ryan told me after initially not getting the yes, he saw her across campus and knew he couldn’t just let it go.

“I gotta give this another shot, and I gave it another shot, and here we are,” Ryan said.

“I wish I would have been more interested then,” Kaila said, “but I’m not sure we would be where we were if we dated then, so I think it was for the best.”

It was easy to see how they have become part of each other’s world – the importance of their dog Hutch, how one of the moments Ryan really wanted me to capture was Kaila’s dad seeing her for the first time, and how they both mentioned an infamous ham & cheese sandwich in a Hong Kong airport in their vows.

“I’m so happy she found someone as stubborn and loyal,” Mallory said, who didn’t give up trying to get that first date.”
