When I checked in with Caitlin at the end of her wedding day, all she could say was everything was perfect.
That’s a great way to feel about your wedding day at any time under any circumstances, but when your wedding has been postponed months and doesn’t necessarily look the way you envisioned, I think that makes it a little bit sweeter. Caitlin & Kyle’s ceremony was at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Wilmington, DE, and allowed them to do what they had expected to do back in May – be husband and wife. “I just wanted to be married, be married to him,” Caitlin said. “I’m just so excited to have this day here and be able to finally call him my husband.”
“She’s been the most important thing to me for years now,” Kyle said. “She’s just my best friend.” (also – I loved the authenticity of when he said that. One of my favorite moments in the film).
Their reception was at Kyle’s parents’ house, but you wouldn’t have been able to tell it wasn’t exactly what they had planned all along. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, and the bride and groom couldn’t have looked happier!
