Kira & Doug’s Stone Harbor Wedding was at the Reeds at Shelter Haven in Stone Harbor, NJ.

Filming weddings at the Jersey Shore has a special place in my heart. As a Delaware beach kid growing up, I didn’t learn about the charm of the shore until I was (kind of) an adult, but I learned quickly! Meeting with Kira & Doug at their rehearsal to get a few shots on the beach at the Deauville Inn in Strathmere, it was fun chatting about the fun of the Ocean City boardwalk, with Kira sharing how her family would save change for the arcades every year – including for after their wedding!
Those kinds of personal details are what help wedding films feel timeless instead of generic. Here’s more about how couples choose meaningful moments for their wedding film.

It was the start of a very special wedding day for Kira & Doug at the Reeds at Shelter Haven in Stone Harbor. After getting reading at the hotel, Kira & Doug had an amazing first look and portraits at the Wetlands Institute.

Their ceremony looked out over the bay from the deck of the Reeds at Shelter Haven. I loved the moment where Kira asked her dad if he was ready!
For their reception, the dance floor was packed all night, with a surprise saxophone performance (that definitely inspired the music we used in this film)!
